I went this morning to the pool school, Fred took the time to explain all what I need to a successful season with my pool. It’s a family owned business that rocks Galesburg and nearby counties… definitely the best!

We just started using Munson Pool the Fall of 2023 after the contractor who built our pool retired. All the people at Munson's have been friendly, professional and dependable. We have had Munson's install a new variable speed pump for us, patch our autocover, change our sand and standpipe and just this week they installed new bearings for our auto cover. We have been 100% satisfied with their service. We feel fortunate to have found Munson Pool and look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

We bought our first pool in June 2005 and I was looking for information about pools since I had no knowledge about them. I went to a few places and no one wanted to take the time to explain anything to me. I heard “Well just let me know what you want and we’ll order it for you” as the person walked away at one place in Peoria. I heard “I’ll answer any questions you have” from another unhelpful person to which I responded “I don’t even know what questions to ask because I don’t know anything about pools”. He said basically you need to tell me what size pool you want and we take it from there but you’ll have to get someone to install it because we don’t do that. I simply said ok thanks and walked away. I didn’t even know what size pools are available and what would fit in the space I had and I certainly didn’t know who installs pools or who to trust to do it. That was at another pool place in Central Illinois but I won’t mention the town since there was only one pool place there. Then a wise friend told me to go to Munson’s in Galesburg so I did. I thought I want a pool so I’m going to try one last time and see what I can find out. I walked into Munson’s and told a woman that I want to buy a pool but I know nothing about them. She said well I’m Lisa and let’s just go outside by the pool we have on display and I’m going to ask you some questions and give you some information of what’s available and then you can tell me what you want. My memory is not the best but I just remember thinking Wow am I glad I came here. I bet she spent an hour or so explaining everything from size of pools to an automated chlorinator to a floor drain. The pros and cons of everything. She was phenomenal and has been ever since! We enjoyed that pool for over 17 years but unfortunately had to tear it down due to severe rust and the risk of collapse and injury. Which brings us to 2023. We got a new pool this summer and it is wonderful! The crew they recommend for installation (Miles and his team) did a fabulous job! Munson’s crew continues to open and close our pool every year and are always there when I need something. They are very knowledgeable and helpful in every way and their customer service is outstanding! If it wasn’t for Lisa I may have never gotten a pool and would have missed out on a lot of great memories! Thank you ! . . . sorry this is so lengthy . . . and believe it or not I was trying to be brief.
